STEWARD, Sarah
As Sarah Tolver Preston, she was born at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk on 1 March 1802 and baptised at St Nicholas with St Peter, Great Yarmouth on 6 March 1802, daughter of Isaac Preston and his wife Elizabeth née Tolver. She married at Great Yarmouth on 31 August 1830, Revd Francis Steward and in 1836 her husband was ordained rector of Barking and Darmsden, Needham Market, Suffolk where she lived for the remainder of her life. She exhibited some of her paintings at the Needham Market Fine Art & Industrial Exhibition at the Town Hall on 11 July 1867. Sarah Tolver Steward was buried at Barking St Mary Church on 14 May 1884.
