BLOIS, Lady Winifred Grace

1878 - 1963

As Winifred Grace Kennard, she was born in London on 20 March 1878, daughter of Edmund Hegan Kennard (14 October 1834-9 July 1912), an army officer and a Member of Parliament, and his wife Agnes Hegan (1843-1906), second daughter of Joseph Hegan, who married at St Paul's Knightsbridge, London on 9 January 1868. Winifred married at Christ Church, Mayfair, London, on 30 April 1898, Sir Ralph Barrrett MacNaghten Blois (21 November 1866-18 March 1950), 9th Bart., and were the parents of Flavia Blois. Lady Blois exhibited from Cockfield Hall, Yoxford, Suffolk at the Suffolk Art and Aid Association held at the Athenaeum, Bury St Edmund's in October 1908, a watercolour and again at the show when held at Halesworth in 1912. As Lady Freda Blois, she also exhibited at the Royal Academy. Winifred Grace Hegan, Lady Blois, died at Thurleston Lodge, Henley Road, Ipswich on 28 November 1963.
