BLOIS, Lady Winifred Grace

1878 - 1963

As Kennard, she was born in London on 20 March 1878, daughter of Edmund Hegan Kennard (1834-1912), a Member of Parliament, and his wife Agnes, daughter of Joseph Hegan who married in January 1868. Winifred married at Christ Church, Mayfair, London, on 30 April 1898, Sir Ralph Barrrett MacNaghten Blois, 9th Bt., and were the parents of Flavia Ria Joan Blois. Lady Blois exhibited from Cockfield Hall, Yoxford, Suffolk a watercolour at the Suffolk Art and Aid Association held at the Atheneaum, Bury St Edmund's in October 1908 and at the show at Halesworth in 1912. As Lady Freda Blois, she exhibited at the Royal Academy from c/o Westminster Bank, Carlos Place, London in 1942 'June Flowers', in 1946 'Flowers in a Glass Bowl', in 1947 'Summer Bunch' and in 1949 'Roses and Lilies in a Chinese Mug'. Winifred Grace Hegan, Lady Blois died at Thurleston Lodge, Henley Road, Ipswich on 28 November 1963.
