PUHLHOFER, Lisa Ann

As Lisa Ann Grant, she married at Hillingdon, London in 1995, Steven V. Puhlhofer, and paints under the name of Lisa Ann Puhlhofer. A portrait and still life painter, who lived and worked in Suffolk. After a 36 year career in nursing, culminating for 19 years as a Nurse Practitioner, in 2015 Lisa Ann took semi-retirement to pursue a career in art. Self-taught from 2009 and in 2013 she met and studied ink, watercolour, oil and pastel with Tony Merrick (1948-2018), proceeding to complete a Diploma in Portraiture at Heatherley School of Fine Artt 2015-2017. Lisa Ann is a member of the Ipswich Art Society and works in oils but uses most other mediums and her achievements include the Daphne Todd prize for Portraiture 2016 and in 2018 competed in the Sky TV Arts Portrait Artist of the Year, winning her heat and reaching the semi-finals. She exhibited with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 2017 and 2018 and Artist and Illustrators Shortlisted Artists of the Year at the Mall Gallery in London. She now resides in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
