Marnie Deakins, trained in graphic design at the University of Southern California and as a graphic designer worked for various publishers and agencies in Los Angeles and in London before permanently moving to Suffolk. Marnie paints in oil and mixed media reflecting the light and narrative of landscapes and her ceramics are hand built organic forms often combined with other materials including fabric, wire, and wood. A former member of Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at St Davids Hall, 40a Friars Street, Sudbury, Suffolk. Some of her paintings are on permanent display at 1921 Angel Hill Restaurant, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk.
