PLUMMER, Anne
As Anne Elizabeth Moss, she married at Ipswich in 2001, Timothy M. Plummer and paints under the name of Anne Plummer. Anne studied 'A' Level Art while at 6th form and went on to Bristol to study Manufacturing Systems Engineering, which took her away from art for a few years, but her drawing and sketching continued. After graduation, a move to rural Essex took her back to painting and, with a life next to the water, made her paint seriously as a professional artist. After sailing around Cornwall for some twelve years, the Cornish landscapes and rivers has since influenced her work. An introduction to Chris Insoll (born 1956) at the New Gallery in Portscatho, and with his guidance and knowledge, her art progressed over the years, painting in and around Portscatho from a Studio at Blewetts Wharf in Truro. She has now returned to Ipswich, where she exhibits her work at the Pin Mill Studio on the River Orwell near Ipswich. She also organises the Co-op Art Class in Ipswich running art workshops for all abilities over a wide range of topics.
