NEWBY, Edward D'Arcy
Edward D'Arcy Newby was born at 5 Clausentum Road, Winchester, Hampshire on 22 March 1911, only child of Edward Newby (9 September 1873-1945), a waiter, and his wife Edith Maud Bullard (9 December 1876-1 June 1952), youngest daughter of Charles Bullard, who married at Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Essex on 6 October 1906. In 1921 the family were living at 44 St Faith's Road, Winchester, Hampshire. Young Edward exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 467 Wherstead Road, Ipswich in 1937, two watercolours 'Road Widening, Bourne Hill' and 'The Grain Ship at Ipswich 1936'. In 1939, an unmarried architectural assistant, living at 467 Wherstead Road, Ipswich with parents. Edward D'Arcy Newby was of 467 Wherstead Road, Ipswich when he died in the Ipswich Foxhall Sanitorium on 23 December 1941, leaving his effects to his mother.
