WEBSTER, Alfred Henry
Alfred Henry Webster was born at Debenham, Suffolk on 12 September 1914, son of Samuel Webster (15 March 1877-3 May 1958), a farmer, and his wife Annie Elizabeth née Rose (15 May 1881-3 June 1958), who married at Debenham in 1907. Alfred was an art teacher and he exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1935 from Tower Mill, Debenham, Suffolk, a watercolour 'Illumination-Wood Fire'. In 1939, an unmarried art teacher, looking for work, living at Hill Farm, South View, Debenham, with his parents, Samuel and Annie, and siblings Edwin Samuel (7 May 1908-25 January 1992) and Kathleen Laura [Southgate] (17 January 1916-26 September 2010), he had another brother Robert James (1920-31 August 2013). Alfred enlisted in the Royal Artillery in 1940, serving during the Second World War and died at Norwich, Norfolk in 1997.
