REEVE, Denis Oliver
Denis Oliver Reeve was born at 2 Hayhill Road, Ipswich on 18 April 1912, second son of Oliver Reeve (1876-29 October 1940), a carriage builder and carpenter, and his wife Selina née Lloyd (24 April 1876-1917), who married at Burstall, Ipswich in 1909 and in 1939 Oliver was living at 55 Bramford Lane Ipswich. In 1911, his parents, 34-year-old Oliver and 34-year-old Selina were living at Hayhill Road, Ipswich with newly born son Owen William and in 1921 Oliver, now a widower, was still living at 2 Hayhill Road, Ipswich with sons Owen and Denis with Oliver's 53-year-old unmarried sister Charlotte Elizabeth Reeve as housekeeper. Denis exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1933 from 2 Hayhill Road, Ipswich, two watercolours 'Baylham Mill' and 'Manor Farm, Tuddenham' and in 1939, was a woodworking draughtsman living at 18 Park Crescent, Enfield, Middlesex with three other persons. He married at Uxbridge, Middlesex in 1945, Joan Sybil Rodgers (25 June 1918-10 July 1996). Denis Oliver Reeve died at Truro, Cornwall on 11 January 1994, and was buried at Gerrans parish church, Cornwall.
