Jennifer L. Partridge, was born at Romford, Essex in 1947, daughter of Walter Frank Partridge and his wife Margaret E. née Miles, who married at Wantage, Berkshire in 1940. An author of some fifteen titles, including the 'Oakapple Wood' series winning her the acclaimed international childrens prize 'Critici in Urbar' at the Bologna Book Fair. Her works have been translated into many languages and has been reproduced, notably by Wedgwood, in a series of plates and figurines 'Kitchen Pictures' which represents a new and exciting venture. She married at Havering, Essex in 1971, artist Nigel Casseldine [q.v.] and they had a son Nicholas and a daughter Alice, both born at Stroud, Gloucestershire. Nigel and Jenny have their gallery and workshop at Romany Studio, Woodbridge Road, Tunstall, Suffolk.
