CURTIS, Nora Patricia
As Nora Patricia Stevens, she was born at Blackrock, Dublin on 18 December 1891, daughter of William Lancefield Stevens (1857-21 January 1950), a letterpress overseer, and his wife Annie Ellen née Shaw, who married at St George, Hanover Square, London in 1885. Nora was educated at North London Collegiate School. In 1911, a 19-year-old student, living at 15 Britannia Road, Norwich, Norfolk with her parents, 53-year-old William, who was born at Deptford, Kent and 54-year-old Annie Ellen, who was born at Woodbridge, Suffolk. She married firstly at London City in 1919, Herbert Fletcher Cundall (1887-1978) and secondly at Chelsea in 1927, Herbert Lewis Curtis (1895-1947), an architect. A painter and illustrator who painted mostly boat and riverside subjects. She lived in Walberswick, Suffolk and exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. In 1939, an artist, living at Kensworth, Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Nora Patricia Curtis died at 17 Parkhill Road, Hampstead, London on 23 December 1953.
