Suzanne Perry

Suzanne M. K. Perry, was born at Wellington, Shropshire in 1962, daughter of Percy J. Perry and his wife Muriel née Corbett, but has lived most of her life in the village of Elmsett, near Ipswich. Educated at Hadleigh High School where she developed a keen interest in art and after leaving school followed her other love, which is animals, working at Highcliff Veterinary Practice, near Hadleigh, Suffolk. Her main interest is to draw and paint birds in her preferred medium of acrylics and to create very detailed work but also enjoys using watercolour and pencil. Suzanne has exhibited in East Anglia for some twenty five years, starting with the local gallery in Hadleigh and the local St Mary's church and at various other local venues, including Bildeston, Stoke by Nayland Church, Sudbury, Monks Eleigh and Needham Market with other exhibitions at Holt, Norfolk and Tendring in Essex. A regular contributor to the Art Exhibition at the Hadleigh Show where she was featured artist in 2011 and now heads the Art Exhibition Committee for the Show. A member of the Bury St Edmund's Art Society and the Suffolk Art Society. She married at Ipswich in 1993, Matthew Edward C. Mellor and works from her home studio at Chippendale, Hadleigh Road, Elmsett, Ipswich and specialises in producing originals, although will sell limited edition prints and enjoys working on commissions.
