LOVETT, Clifford William
Clifford William Bert Lovett was born at Ipswich on 6 September 1921, son of Bertie James Lovett (3 May 1994-12 September 1948), a carpenter, and his wife Marion Mabel née Chittock (17 February 1885-18 June 1951), who married at Forehoe, Norfolk in 1913. Clifford was educated at the Northgate Grammar School in Ipswich and started his working life with the Ipswich firm of engineers, E.R. & F. Turner but most of his working life was with the Post Office. In 1939, a telecommunications instrument adjuster for the Post Office, living at 61 Dover Road, Ipswich with his parents Bertie and Marion. He married at Ipswich in 1951, Mary Alice Borrett (27 December 1914-1995). Clifford was a member of the Suffolk Mills Group, and exhibited from 61 Dover Road, Ipswich at the Ipswich Art Club in 1944, a mahogany statuette. Clifford William Bert Lovett died at Colchester Hospital, Essex on 19 July 2002.
