HARDY, Enid
Doreen Enid Hardy was born at Lincoln on 5 June 1916, only child of Edwin Sleight Hardy (8 February 1887-12 October 1954), a building contractor's clerk, and his wife Lizzie Mina née Moffat (19 June 1874-1946), who married at Lincoln in 1913 and in 1939 were living at 85 West Parade, Lincoln. Known as Enid, in 1939 an art mistress, living at 12 Henley Road, Ipswich with the Jermyn family. She exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1943 'Seated Girl'. An art teacher at Oxford High School, Doreen Enid Hardy died at Oxford on 16 May 2000, she was unmarried.
