WOOD, Harry
Harold James Frederick Wood was born at 94 York Road, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk on 7 December 1906, son of Harold Cecil Wood (2 May 1880-1968), a master tailor, and his wife Gertrude Blanche née Price (15 March 1884-9 February 1969), who married at Bury St Edmund's in 1906 and in 1939 were living at 8 Westbury Avenue, Bury St Edmund's. In 1911, Harry was a 4-year-old, living at York Road, Bury St Edmund's with his parents, 29-year-old Harold and 27-year-old Gertrude and his sibling brother Barnard, born at Bury St Edmund's in 1910. Harry married at Ipswich in 1932, Muriel Jane Mary Weir (7 June 1906-1987). In 1939, Harry was a representative of the National Farmers Union, living at Old Cottage, Raydon, Hadleigh, Suffolk with his wife Muriel. Harold exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1942 'Shelley Church, Suffolk' and in 1944 'Higham Church'. Harold James Frederick Wood died at Great Sturton, Lincolnshire in 1988.
