WATSON, Eliza Harriet
Eliza Harriet Watson was born in Ipswich in 1864, daughter of William Watson (1820-27 December 1919), a solicitor's managing clerk, and his second wife Eliza née Hales, who married at Ipswich on 30 November 1863, William's first wife was Mary Ann née Churchyard, whom he married at Ipswich in 1845. In 1871, Eliza was a 6-year-old, living at Orford Street, Ipswich with her father, 50-year-old William and her stepmother, 28-year-old Eliza, with three stepsiblings Thomas 19, a schoolteacher, Amelia Jane 16 and Caroline Priscilla 10, with three siblings Annie Hughes 5, Albert Long 4 and Marian Helena 3, all born at Ipswich. In 1891, young Eliza was a 26-year-old 'artist painting', living at West Hill Cottage, Anglesea Road, Ipswich with her 59-year-old uncle William Nicholson Emmett (1832-1898), a provision merchant, and his wife Harriet née Hales. Eliza Harriet Watson died at Ipswich in 1911, she was unmarried.
