LONG, Annie Elizabeth

1862 - 1942

As Annie Elizabeth Herbert, she was born at Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk on 30 August 1862 and baptised Elizabeth Ann at St Mary's Church, Stoke-by-Nayland on 4 September 1863, daughter of Edward Herbert, an agricultural labourer, and his wife Emily née Palmer, who married at Stoke-by-Nayland on 18 January 1863. As Annie Eliza Herbert, she married as his second wife, at Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk in 1903, Augustus Frederick Long (1862-1911), a printer compositor. In 1939, a widow and an artist, living at 8 Approach Cottages, Clare, Suffolk and she died at Halstead, Essex in 1942.
