ARCEDECKNE, Louisa
Louisa Arcedeckne was baptised at Hacheston Church, Woodbridge, Suffolk on 2 October 1817, only daughter of Andrew Arcedeckne (1780-1849) and his wife Anne Harriet Arcedeckne née Beckford. Louisa married at St George’s Hanover Square, London on 6 July 1839, Charles Andrew Vanneck, later 3rd Baron Huntingfield (12 January 1818-21 September 1897), and they had ten children. Louisa was tutored in art whilst living in London by Henry Bright, during the period of Bright's twenty-year residence in London 1836-1856. In 1871, she inherited, from her childless brother Andrew Arcedeckne (1822-1871), the Glevering Hall estate in Suffolk but this was leased out until it was sold in the 1890s. Her husband died in 1897 and Louisa, Lady Huntingfield died on 4 February 1898, both of Heveningham Hall, Huntingfield, Suffolk, which remained in the Vanneck family until its sale on the death of the unmarried Lt-Col. Joshua Charles Vanneck (1842-1915), 4th Baron Huntingfield.
