1817 - 1898

Louisa Arcedeckne, was baptised at Hacheston Church, Woodbridge, Suffolk on 2 October 1817, only daughter of Andrew Arcedeckne (1780-1849) and his wife Anne Harriet née Beckford [Arcedeckne q.v.]. Louisa married at St George’s Hanover Square, London on 6 July 1839, Charles Andrew Vanneck, later 3rd Baron Huntingfield (12 January 1818-1897), and they had ten children. Louisa was tutored in art whilst living in London by Henry Bright [q.v.], during the period of Bright's twenty year residence in London 1836-1856. In 1871, she inherited, from her childless brother Andrew Arcedeckne (1822-1871), the Glevering Hall estate in Suffolk but this was leased out until it was sold in the 1890s. Her husband died on 21 September 1897 and Louisa died on 4 February 1898, both of Heveningham Hall, Huntingfield, Suffolk which remained in the Vanneck family until its sale on the death of the unmarried Lt-Col. Joshua Charles Vanneck (1842-1915), 4th Baron Huntingfield.
