CROFT, Georgiana
Georgiana Cuyler was born at Welwyn, Hertfordshire on 21 October 1805 and baptised on 20 December 1805, youngest and fifth daughter of the seven children of General Sir Cornelius Cuyler (31 October 1740–8 March 1819), 1st Bart., governor of Portsmouth, West Indies, and his wife Anne Wendell (1766-1815) who married on 10 January 1763. Georgiana married on 1 January 1835, Stephen Croft of St Mary Stoke, Ipswich and in 1851 were living at Rabs Row, Saint Mary Stoke, Ipswich with their three children, Emily Johnes 13, Henry Herbert Stephen 9 and Mary Louise 6, all born at Ipswich, and they retained six indoor servants. Georgiana and her husband are listed as art pupils of Henry Bright between 1836-1856. Georgiana Croft died at Scotsbridge House, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire on 6 April 1889, aged 83.
