As Karen J. Heaney, she was educated at Bungay Grammar School. Karen married at Norwich outer area in 1981, Humphrey J. Leah and paints under the name of Karen Leah and their daughter was Alex Leah. An exhibitor at Black Dog Arts Group from her studio at 38 Southend Road, Bungay, Suffolk.
