SMITH, Lily
As Lily Last, she was born at Grundisburgh, Suffolk on 18 May 1888. She married at Grundisburgh in 1914 Alfred Smith (born 22 June 1883), a cowman & stock keeper and in 1921 they were living at Snipe Lane, Clopton, Suffolk with their daughter Gladys May 6, born Grundisburgh and Frank Napoleon 4, born Clopton. As Mrs L. Smith, an exhibitor at the Ipswich Fine Art Club in 1927 from School House, Clopton, Woodbridge, Suffolk, two watercolours 'The Old Rectory, Whitstable' and 'The Field Gate'. In 1939 they were living at Church Lane, Clopton with their son Frank Napoleon Smith (born 11 October 1916). Lily Smith died on 20 March 1957.
Clopton Public Elementary School was built with a house in 1875 and in 1925 Mrs P. Smith was mistress.
