RAVENHILL, Margaret Fanny
Margaret Fanny Ravenhill was born at Bromley, Kent on 28 April 1857, second child of John Richard Ravenhill (15 April 1824-28 December 1894), a consulting engineer, and his wife Fanny née Pocock (2 August 1831-1 November 1903), who married at Chippenham, Wiltshire on 17 February 1853. In 1881, Margaret was a 23-year-old, living at 27 Courtfield Gardens, Kensington, London with her parents, 56-year-old John and 49-year-old Fanny, with her two sibling brothers, Francis 25 and Horatio 18. In 1882 she exhibited at the Ipswich Fine Art Club from 27 Courtfield Garden, a watercolour 'Felixstowe Church, Suffolk'. In 1911 she was living on private means at Lock Avon, Shawford, Winchester, Hampshire and in 1921 was living at 30 West Side, Clapham Common, Battersea, London with a brother Thomas 61, and sister Emily Anna 72, and in 1939 was living at a hotel at Chester House, Chine Crescent, Bournemouth, Hampshire. Margaret Fanny Ravenhill died at Lovat House, 90 West Cliff Road, Bournemouth on 7 December 1941, she was unmarried.
