FARRELL, Freda
As Freda Mary Derthick, she was born at Shardlow, Derbyshire in 1939, daughter of Edward Dethick (17 August 1907-1966), a builder's labourer, and his wife Edith Bessie née Milner (17 March 1907-1988), who married at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire in 1929 and in 1939 were living at 24 Council Houses, Twyford Road, Willington, Derbyshire. Freda joined the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS) and married at Derby in 1963, Bernard Farrell (29 December 1926-1990). As Freda Farrell, a contributing artist at the [Eye Arts Guild,4361]] from Hill Cottage, 42 Lambeth Street, Eye, Suffolk.
