ARNOTT, Janet Mary
Janet Mary Arnott was born at Woodbridge, Suffolk on 27 May 1901 and, with her twin brother William George Arnott (27 May 1901-2 March 1991), the only children of John Arnott (1864-31 December 1929), an auctioneer and estate agent, and his wife Nellie Elizabeth née Carter (19 July 1866-14 June 1956), who married at Woodbridge in 1899. In 1911, Janet was living at Church Street, Woodbridge with her parents, 47-year-old John and 44-year-old Nellie, and twin brother, 9-year-old William George. A watercolour and landscape painter and a member and exhibitor at Ipswich Art Club 1925-1927 exhibiting from Church Street, Woodbridge in 1925 'Tide Mill, Woodbridge' and in 1927 five watercolours 'Walberswick Ferry', 'Knole Park', 'Walberswick', 'Bell Farm, Walberswick' and 'Hospital Yard, Woodbridge'. She married at Woodbridge in 1930, Julius Edmund Minifie, (31 March 1905-25 December 1988). Janet Mary Minifie died at Gazebo Farm, Grundisburgh Road, Hasketon, Woodbridge on 9 April 1978, leaving one son Nicolas, who was born in 1938.
