Stephen John Thorpe was born at 54 Michael Road, Croydon, Surrey on 23 January 1936. He married at Surrey North in 1960, Patricia Smith. Stephen, an architect, exhibited from 104 Bures Road, Sudbury, Suffolk at the 'Visions of Sudbury' show at St Peter's church, Sudbury in 2007, two pen & ink drawings 'All Saints from the Meadows' and 'From Friends Meeting House Garden', in 2009 a line & wash 'From the Cricket Ground' and in 2013 a pen & wash 'United Reformed Church'
