HUCKLESBY, Tony

1930 - 2015

Anthony James Hucklesby was born at 156 Wardown Crescent, Luton, Bedfordshire in 1930, only son of William James Hucklesby (13 April 1896-4 June 1976), a company secretary & cashier, and his wife Helena May née Woodward (11 April 1894-17 April 1985), who married at Luton in 1918 and they had five children. Tony was educated at Luton Grammar School and studied architecture at Luton and South Beds College of Further Education and employed in the architect's department of Handley Page Ltd. He married at Luton in 1955, Margaret Sheila Phillips (1930-8 October 2014) and they had five children. A chartered architect and artist and a member of Eye Arts Guild from 24 Gaye Crescent, Eye, Suffolk. Anthony James Hucklesby died at Chilton Meadows Nursing Home, Stowmarket, Suffolk on 22 January 2015, aged 84.
