LEE, Angela

1939 - 2020

Angela C. Lee was born at Bromley, Kent in 1939, daughter of William Lee and his wife Doris Irene née Summersby (30 January 1916-1996), who married at Croydon, Surrey in 1938. Angela only returned to painting in 2005, preferring to work in oil which, being flexible, allows her to work quickly with a brush or a palette knife allowing her to change her mind. Working on life studies and she was entranced by colours and shapes and leant towards subjects which are not exactly what they seemed at first glance. Angela was a member and one-time chairman of the Eye Arts Guild from Rose Tree Cottage, Church Row, The Common, Eye, Suffolk and was a member of Mellis Arts. Angela C Lee died on 4 June 2020.
