SYKES, Janis
As Janis Hilary Wakeley, she was born at Trowbridge, Wiltshire on 8 November 1946, daughter of William George Wakeley (8 November 1912-10 March 2009), a draughtsman, and his wife Iris Celia née Cockeram (4 November 1917-), who married at Deben, Suffolk in 1941. As Janis Grey, she married at Huntingdon in 1980, William Vincent Sykes (August 1948-) and paints under the name of Janis Sykes. Janis was chairman of the St Neots Art Group from 8 New Street, St Neots, Cambridgeshire and in 2012 an exhibitor from 19 Bridewell Lane, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society.
