WIGGINS, Michael

Michael John Wiggins, when young developed a certain artistic flair and sold his first paintings at the age of sixteen but his dream of attending art school was not realised. After taking several jobs he settled on the airline industry for some twenty-five years and followed by various other industries until, in 2002 he realised his artistic creativity. Working in all mediums, he produces original limited-edition prints, mono prints and etchings and has successfully exhibited throughout East Anglia. From the initial idea of shape and form, he allows his work to evolve by continually contemplating the image until a more defined structure or theme emerges. He exhibited from Great Cornard, Sudbury, Suffolk in 2012 at the Bury St Edmund's Church Walks when sixty highly regarded professional artists as well as local artists and students generously donated their work and supported by the School of Art, West Suffolk College with all the proceeds going to St Nicholas Hospice Care. He now lives in North Norfolk.
