CARUTH, Barbara
As Barbara G. Batt, she was born at Brighton, Sussex in 1931, daughter of William Gordon Batt (6 November 1884-6 April 1969), a dental surgeon, and his wife Phyllis Mary née Paterson (17 November 1891-1949), who married at Brighton in 1919 and in 1939 were living at 63 Grand Parade, Brighton. Barbara married at Brighton in 1961, David Alexander Caruth (1930-30 November 2016), and paints under the name of Barbara Caruth. She lived at Rivendell, Livermere Road, Bury St Edmund's and exhibited at Bury St Edmund's Church Walks in 2012 when sixty highly regarded professional artists as well as local artists and students generously donated their work and supported by the School of Art at West Suffolk College, all the proceeds going to St Nicholas Hospice Care. .
