Debbie Plaskett

Deborah A. Plaskett was educated at Romford County High School and at the National Design Academy, Nottingham 2002-2004, gaining diplomas in Professional Decorative Paint Finishes and Professional Interior Design. Debbie, as she is known, has lived in the East Anglian countryside for most of her adult life and is a mural artist & decorative painter of trompe l'oeils and specialist effects, such as marbling, stone blocking, etc., working on domestic and commercial commissions throughout East Anglia since 2005. Clients have included restaurants, schools, a children's adventure play centre, property developers, and private homes from cottages to country houses. Debbie also works as a specialist decorator, offering a range of finishes including faux marble, wood graining, stone and metal effects and sky ceilings, together with decorative finishes such as stippling, dragging, frottage and various antique effects. Also, furniture painting, custom painted toy chests, screens, decorative accessories, and wall plaques. A former member of the Suffolk Open Studios from Foundry Cottage, Old Bury Road, Stanton, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk and, after spending a 5-year spell by the sea at Banff, Aberdeenshire, returned home in 2019 and now lives and works in a Norfolk village close to the border with Suffolk sharing her home with her husband Stephen.
