Geoff Wilyman

Geoffrey Sydney Stewart Wilyman was born at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire on 22 September 1917, son of Sidney Robert Wilyman (13 December 1883-12 September 1955) and his wife Rosie May née Stewart (22 July 1898-25 March 1982), who married at Wycombe in 1916 and in 1939 were living at 35 Narcot Road, Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Geoffrey married at Amersham on 14 December 1946, Elsie Kathleen Wilkins (23 July 1922-January 1985). He lived on the Suffolk/Norfolk borders and as a Royal Navy veteran, Geoffrey Wilyman, aged 96, who saw action in the Mediterranean and Africa, attended an armistice day memorial service in Southwold in 2013, to pay his respects to fallen comrades. An amateur painter with one known war scene, which is in the collection of the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum, and he was a member of the Southwold Sailor's Reading Room. The author of 'A Bucks Heritage' (1974). In 2004 Geoffrey Sydney Stewart Wilyman was living at Church View, 1 Church Road, Alburgh, Harleston, Norfolk and died on 22 July 2015.
