RICHARDS, Francis Alfred

Francis Alfred Richards was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk on 5 October 1919, son of Myrtle Richards, née Asborne who in 1921 was a 30-year-old widow living at 9 Beaconsfield Road, Lowestoft. Francis married at Lowestoft in 1943, Emily Kathleen Frances Bemment (1 December 1919-8 January 2012). A 'Pier Head' artist painting boats for relatives of skippers of Lowestoft based boats but also painted churches, animals and wildlife. Francis Alfred Richards was of 11 Beaconsfield Road, Lowestoft when he died at the James Paget Hospital at Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk on 11 May 2003.
