PARKER, Geoffrey

1926 - 1990

Geoffrey Albert Parker was born at Sproughton, near Ipswich on 26 July 1926, son of Henry Charles Parker (25 October 1889-1943), a horseman on a farm, and his wife Mabel Maria née Double (30 May 1889-1961), who married at Bosmere, Suffolk in 1914 and in 1921 they were living at Burstall Road, Sproughton with children Cyril Henry 6, John Charles 5, Stanley Harold (19 February 1917-22 June 1985), all born at Elmstead Market, Essex and Leslie William (11 February 1920-1992) who was born at Sproughton. By 1939 they were living at 8 Broomfield Common, Sproughton, Ipswich with two more children Percy Edward (7 January 1922-1989) and Geoffrey. Geoffrey married at Ipswich in 1953, Dorothy May Jones (8 January 1927-21 July 1994). An amateur artist mostly of aircraft and the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton, Bungay, Suffolk has some of his paintings. Geoffrey Albert Parker died at Ipswich in 1990.
