Tracey Waghorn

As Tracey Smith, she was born at Ealing, London in 1957. She studied Art and Design in the 1970s, and passed her 'A' level art with a national diploma, with a distinction, in design. After leaving art college Tracey continued working with textiles and design, building up a very structured design business based on her knowledge of strong colour co-ordination, this artistic background involved her with art, design textile and colour, working with fellow designers in major London stores. She paints freely in watercolour and acrylics, aiming to paint the light and atmosphere of the subject, mainly flowers and loose abstract landscapes with her acrylics are usually atmospheric land and seascapes. Tracey Waghorn is best known for her award winning and different approach to the traditional perception of still life and landscape painting working to balance the colour composition and viewpoint until the finished work is achieved. Tracey has her studio at 40 The Coppice, Great Barton, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and hold regular art classes, she is a member of the Bury St Edmunds Art Society and exhibits in Suffolk including the St Edmunds Gallery in Bury St Edmunds. www.traceywaghorn.co.uk
