SMITH, Albert Benjamin

1912 - 1997

Albert Benjamin Smith was born at Omega Cottage, Bushey Heath, Bushey, Hertfordshire on 22 June 1912, son of Joseph Ernest Smith, a grocer's assistant, and his wife Annie née Peacock and in 1921 they were still living at the same address when 36 year Albert was a painter & decorator. with his 39 year old wife Annie and their two sons Albert Benjamin 8 and Eric Joseph 1. Albert married at Kensington, London in 1935, Edith J. née Turner (13 September 1913-2004) and in 1939, a coal carman, living at Oxcroft, Beech Avenue, Ruislip, Middlesex. An amateur artist who painted a portrait of Jack 'Davy' Green which is at the Southwold Sailors' Reading Room in Suffolk. Albert Benjamin Smith died in the Waveney district of Suffolk in 1997.
