ALLEN, Walter Kiddell
Walter Kiddell Allen was born at Little Wenham Hall, near Ipswich in 1861, only son of George Allen (1811-6 October 1892), a tenant farmer, and his wife Louisa née Kiddell (1826-9 March 1904). His father farmed at Blowfield Hall, Trimley St Martin, near Ipswich and young Walter was also a farmer when he exhibited at the Ipswich Fine Art Club 1883-1885, exhibiting from Trimley St Mary in 1883 'Walton Creek, with a view of Harwich' and 'Walton Ferry Inn' and in 1885 'Beach End, Fagbro''. In 1901, still unmarried, a farmer at Blowfield Hall with his widowed mother and his 34-year-old sister Anna and in 1911 still at Blowfield Hall with his 46-year-old sister, Anna Louisa Allen. Walter Kiddell Allen died at Blowfield Hall, Trimley St Martin in 1914, aged 51. In 1915 his sister was living in Station Road, Trimley.
