Sara Muzira

As Sara L. Tilley, she was born at Eton, Buckinghamshire in 1955, daughter of John Michael A. Tilley (1927-1988) and his wife Beryl G. née Fox, who married at North Walsham, Norfolk in 1952. She studied at Bristol University in 1977 gaining a BSc. Social Sciences & Economic; London School of Economics 1978 MSc; and Manchester University 1979 Postgraduate Certificate in Education. After being a teacher for some 30 years, Sara took a Masters in Contemporary Art and Professional Practice, which is part of the National Artist Teacher Scheme, obtaining her degree in 2011 from Essex University. The course turned out to be a revelation with an introduction to the richness of contemporary art, and an opportunity to take part in academic discussion about modern art. Sara now lives at Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk and her work has been exhibited at Halesworth Gallery, Halesworth, Suffolk; Mall Galleries, London; The Minories Gallery, Colchester, Essex; The Old Printworks Gallery, Saxmundham, Suffolk and Babylon Gallery, Ely, Cambridgeshire. A member and exhibitor at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society.
