Sara Muzira

As Sara L. Tilley, she was born at Eton, Buckinghamshire in 1955, daughter of John Michael Ainsley Tilley (1927-1988) and his wife Beryl G. née Fox, who married at North Walsham, Norfolk in 1952. Sara studied at Bristol University gaining a BSc. Social Sciences & Economic in 1977, London School of Economics MSc in 1978 and Manchester University Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 1979. After working as a teacher for some 30 years, Sara took a Masters in Contemporary Art and Professional Practice, which is part of the National Artist Teacher Scheme, obtaining her degree from Essex University in 2011. The course introduced her to the richness of contemporary art, and an opportunity to take part in academic discussion about modern art. Sara now lives at Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk and her work has been exhibited at Halesworth Gallery, Halesworth, Suffolk; Mall Galleries, London; The Minories Gallery, Colchester, Essex; The Old Printworks Gallery, Saxmundham, Suffolk and Babylon Gallery, Ely, Cambridgeshire. A member and exhibitor at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society.
