LAMBERT, William Robert

1890 - 1952

William Robert Lambert, was born at Leiston, Suffolk in 1890, son of Edgar Lambert, boiler maker, and his wife Alice Jane née Goate, who married at Wangford, Suffolk in 1886. In 1911, a 20 year old labourer boiler maker, in the works of Garretts of Leiston. He married at Leiston in 1913, Amy E. Cook and secondly in 1920 Thirza Bloor. An amateur painter who painted a Zeppelin being shot down over the Garrett's Leiston Works. He died at 29 Park Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on 11 March 1952.
