LAMBERT, William Robert

1890 - 1952

William Robert Lambert, was born at Leiston, Suffolk in 1890, son of Edgar Lambert (1864-1946), boiler maker, and his wife Alice Jane née Goate (1864-1953), who married at Wangford, Suffolk in 1886. In 1911, a 20 year old labourer boiler maker, in the works of Garretts of Leiston. He married at Leiston in 1913, Amy E. Cook and secondly at Stoke-on-Trent in 1920 Thirza Bloor. An amateur painter who painted a Zeppelin being shot down over the Garrett's Leiston Works. He died at 29 Park Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on 11 March 1952.
