Heather Johnson

Heather Johnson started painting with oils when in the sixth form in 2006 and went on to study at Norwich University College of the Arts 2007-2010, gaining a B.A. degree in Fine Art, Painting, Drawing and Realism. At the age of 17, her first painting in oils 'A Sense of Place', after the unit she was studying, was on show at the Royal Society of British Artists Annual Children’s Exhibition, which painting and the response it obtained, set Heather on the road to where she is today. As an emerging young artist, she specialised in oil paintings of natural subjects, particularly coastal scenes, and pebbles. She works on canvas, linen and board, all sizes, and scales with photo-realistic oil paintings of the natural world. A former member of Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at 158 High Street, Wickham Market, Suffolk. Heather has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London; Royal Society of British Artists; R K Burt Gallery, London; 'The county’s biggest open art exhibition' at Woodbridge School, Woodbridge; Norwich University College of the Arts of the Arts Degree Show; The Old Brewery Antiques, Woodbridge; The Ship Inn, Blaxhall, Suffolk and elsewhere.
