Heather Johnson

Heather Johnson, started painting with oils in 2006 at Sixth Form and studied at Norwich University College of the Arts 2007-2010, gaining a B.A. degree in Fine Art, Painting, Drawing and Realism. Aged 17, her first painting in oils was 'A Sense of Place' after the unit she was studying and a month later, it was on show at the Royal Society of British Artists Annual Children’s Exhibition, it was that painting and the response it obtained that set Heather on the road to where she is today. An emerging young artist specialising in oil paintings of natural subjects, particularly coastal scenes and pebbles. She works on canvas, linen and board, all sizes and scales with photorealistic oil paintings of the natural world. A member of Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at 158 High Street, Wickham Market, Suffolk. Evelyn has exhibited at The Mall Gallery, London; Royal Society of British Artists; R. K. Burt Gallery, 57 Union Street, London; 'The county’s biggest open art exhibition' at Woodbridge School, Woodbridge; Norwich University College of the Arts Degree Show; The Old Brewery Antiques, Woodbridge; The Ship Inn, Blaxhall, Suffolk and elsewhere.
