Ali Hollingsworth

As Alison J. Coventry, she was born at Helston, Cornwall in 1959, second child of Ronald E Coventry and his wife Pamela M. Lockwood, who married at Helston in 1956. Educated at South Wilts Grammar School For Girls, Salisbury, Wiltshire and Sparsholt College, Winchester, Hampshire obtained a National Cert Farm Secretaries. She married in 1985, Terry J. Hollingsworth and paints under the name of Ali Hollingsworth. Estate Secretary for Broxtead Estate, Sutton near Woodbridge. Part-time artist, her main works are in acrylic but she also uses collage, linoprints and mixed media, and is also a sculptor, using driftwood, beach junk and lost industrial docksides. All these influences surface in her paintings, cards and sculptures. She has exhibited widely throughout Suffolk including the Cut Brick Gallery, Bungay. A member of the Suffolk Open Studios and her work 'Lost Voices' is in the collection of the National Trust.
