Emma Graham

As Emma Jane Hubbard, she was born in Suffolk in 1972, daughter of Michael P. Hubbard and his wife Jennifer E. née Oldman, who married at Lothingland, Suffolk in 1965. Emma came from a creative family of artists, both her mother and grandmother were highly collected and her father was a photographer running a highly acclaimed gallery in Norwich in the late 1970's, so she grew up in a wonderful creative background of artists, printmakers, potters and sculptors. Emma graduated with an HND in Graphic design from Great Yarmouth College of Art in 1990, she married at Norwich in 1991, Stuart Graham and paints under the name of Emma Graham. Emma has built up an eclectic and exciting portfolio, designing and illustrating from book covers, greetings cards to seed packets and in 2007 awarded an RHS Silver Gilt Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show for an exhibit which she designed, illustrated and constructed for Thompson & Morgan of Ipswich, she also does private commissions. A versatile and experienced illustrator and graphic artist based at 46 Great Harlings, Shotley Gate near Ipswich on the Suffolk Coast. Emma works in a variety of styles and media, from vibrant inks to soft colour pencil finding inspiration in the Suffolk countryside and shoreline, myths and legends, old testament Bible stories and from both modern and classic children's stories.
