GRAY, Peter Colin
Peter Colin Gray was born at Colchester, Essex in June 1969, his mother's maiden name was Boosey. Peter studied at Colchester Institute 1993-1994, gaining a BTEC Foundation Studies, Art and Design, and at Loughborough College of Art and Design 1994-1997, gaining a B.A. (hons) in Illustration. An illustrator of books, newspapers and magazines for adults and children, his clients include Penguin, Oxford University Press, Scholastic, Chrysalis, Hodder Education, Arcturus, Foulsham, Folens, Ernst Klett, Barnes and Noble, Times Supplements, The Bookseller, Sunday Times, Readers' Digest, Mail on Sunday, Financial Times, Toronto Zoo, Colchester Castle, and others. Author of many books on drawing and illustration, being published around the world including 'The Complete Book of Drawing and Illustration' and '101 Uses for a Pencil'. He has worked with Suffolk Storeys house history research, for whom he produced many images. He married at Waltham Forest, Essex in 2004 Clare Swain, and they lived at Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, Suffolk.
