CHURCHMAN, Mark

Mark Jonathan Churchman was born in the Great Yarmouth district of Norfolk in 1961, son of Kenneth James Churchman (19 January 1928-1986) and his wife Jean O. née Meller (born 1932), who married at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire in 1955. Mark is an engineer by trade and an artist specialising in watercolours of watery subjects, mostly parts of boats with deep reflections with a love of the East Anglian coast. Mark draws upon the relationship of wildlife with its environment, using patterns of light, colour, and reflections. He has exhibited at the Ferini Art Gallery in Pakefield, Lowestoft. He married in the Waveney district of Suffolk in 1986, Katharine Dorothy Ann Batchelor, and his studio is at 4 Mayfield Avenue, Kessingland, Lowestoft, Suffolk. Together with his wife, published 'Painting with Watercolours' (2005).
