Mary-Anne Bartlett

Felicity Mary-Anne Bartlett was born at Ipswich in April 1969, second daughter of Martin Howard Bartlett (-29 July 2021) and his wife Penelope A. H. née Allwood, who married at East Dereham, Norfolk in 1962. Mary-Anne was educated at Woodbridge School, trained at Ipswich School of Art, and studied at University of Exeter 1989-1993, graduating B.A. in French & Fine Art; at École des Arts Decoratifs de Strasbourg 1990–1993, graduating Diplôme National Supérieur d'Expression Plastique in Fine Art and at the Chartered Institute of Marketing 1996–1998, gaining a diploma in marketing. An artist who works under the name of Mary-Anne Bartlett and runs travel company 'Art Safari' an independent travel company specialising in destinations worldwide for anyone wanting to paint wildlife, people, and landscapes, with expert guiding and art tuition. She travels with her sketchbook, taking in the detail of the world around her while painting and drawing, and teaching others to observe, look, learn, and enjoy the wild places and animals, cultures, and languages. She is also a co-director of Thornicroft Lodge, a safari lodge set on the banks of the Luangwa River in Mfuwe, Zambia. An artist in oil, watercolour, and pencil and a member of Suffolk Open Studios from Art Safari, Harbourmaster’s Office, Ferry Quay, Woodbridge, Suffolk but travels widely both in the UK and Africa.
