Gillian Chaplin commenced her printmaking career prior to taking a degree in Fine Art/Art History and has continued in her printmaking career. Her subjects are often locally inspired around Woodbridge and Aldeburgh in Suffolk and often draw inspiration from marine and archaeological museums. There is a simple freshness to Gillian's work her prints are made from drawings in her sketchbook which are then cut into the lino to make bold designs. A member of the Ipswich Art Society where she exhibited at the in 2006 a linocut 'Cliff Face'.
