CHAPLIN, Gillian
Gillian Chaplin commenced her printmaking career prior to taking a degree in Fine Art/Art History and has continued with her printmaking. Her subjects are often locally inspired around Woodbridge and Aldeburgh in Suffolk and draw inspiration from marine and archaeological museums. There is a simple freshness to Gillian's work her prints are made from drawings in her sketchbook which are then cut into the lino to make bold designs. A member of the Ipswich Art Society where she exhibited in 2006 a linocut 'Cliff Face' and has also exhibited at ArtLib at Woodbridge Library.
