CHAPLIN, Gillian

? - ?

Gillian Chaplin, had commenced her printmaking career prior to taking a degree in Fine Art/Art History and has been printmaking since. Her subjects are often locally inspired around Woodbridge and Aldeburgh in Suffolk, and often draw inspiration from marine and archaeological museums. There is a simple freshness to Gillian's work her prints are made from drawings in her sketchbook which are then cut into the lino to make bold designs. She exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society in 2006 a linocut 'Cliff Face'.
