FLICK, Annie
As Ann Pye, she was baptised at St Peter’s church, Nottingham on 22 October 1828, daughter of Thomas Pye and his wife Mary Ann née Dove, who married at Hatfield, Doncaster on 18 September 1816. An ‘artist in oils’, she married in London in 1860, John Robert Flick, a portrait painter. Together with her husband they lived at The Elms, Earl Soham, Suffolk from where she exhibited at the Ipswich Fine Art Club, two oils in 1882 ‘Primroses’ and ‘Apple Blossom’, two in 1883 ‘Fruit’ and ‘Tree Peonies’. As Annie Flick, widow of the late John Robert Flick of Earl Soham, she died at 4 Alpe Street, Ipswich on 17 November 1895, aged 67.
