Brenda Nash

Brenda J. Nash, was born in the Samford district of Suffolk in 1952, daughter of Charles Edward Nash (1892-1970) and his wife Alice Myra née Double (1916-1984), who married at Ipswich in 1936. Brenda studied at Ipswich High School and at the Norwich School of Art & Design. A children's centre coordinator for Suffolk County Council and Sure Start Health Visitor/Health Manager at Suffolk PCT before becoming a self-employed artist/printmaker. Brenda has a strong style in relief, mainly linocut, hand burnished onto japanese paper. Recent work includes collagraphs and etching, which fits in with modern design with memories of past experience of working in Saudi Arabia emerging in some of her works. Brenda exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society in 1990 from 50 Bromeswell Road, Ipswich, two paintings 'Tree at Culpho' and 'Portquin Bay'. She married at Ipswich in 1996, Michael John Drummond Hill and lives at Woodbridge, Suffolk.
