Carolyn H. Harrison was born at Ipswich in 1945, daughter of Anthony Harrison and his wife Marguerite Dorothy Elsie Harrison née Smith, who married at Buckingham in 1944. As Miss C. Harrison, an associate member of the Ipswich Art Society 1964-1966 and exhibited from Tree Tops, The Street, Rushmere St Andrew, Ipswich in 1962, three pictures 'Suffolk Cart Sheds' and two pen & ink 'Cosmopolitan Group' and 'Market Women'; two in 1963 a pen & ink 'Refuge' and a brush & ink 'Evening Stroll 1890' and in 1964 two paintings 'First Night', 'Summer Evening' which were competition entries and finally exhibited in 1965, two oil paintings 'Portrait of a Young Man' and 'Winter and Summer'. Carolyn married at Hartismere, Suffolk in 1980, Rupert P. Herries, a singer-songwriter, and they had one son. They lived at 41 Orchard End, Grundisburgh, Woodbridge, Suffolk.
