THOMAS, Hilary Yvonne
As Hilary Yvonne Richardson, she was born at Chesters, Walton-on-the-Hill, Reigate, Surrey on 27 December 1913, daughter of Charles John Richardson (17 December 1859-8 January 1933), printing ink manufacturer, and his wife Hilda Gwendoline Vaughan, née Sprague (22 June 1873-28 March 1959). In 1939, Hilary was a school mistress, living at 10 Collingwood Avenue, Bexhill, Surrey together with several other female schoolteachers. She married at Bristol in 1940, Henry Charles Allen Thomas (2 July 1910-16 March 2001), a schoolmaster, who died in Ipswich. As Mrs H. Y. Thomas, she exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from The Holt, Main Road, Woolverstone, Ipswich in 1980, 'At the Back of Ipswich Dock'. Hilary Yvonne Thomas was of Ipswich when she died at Leeds, Yorkshire on 9 June 2001.
