ROWLAND, Rowena Olive
Rowena Olive Rowland was born at 9 Wellesley Road, Colchester, Essex on 21 May 1914, third child and second daughter of Dr Henry William Rowland (15 May 1874-23 December 1972), a medical practitioner, and his wife Catherine Janet Cook (6 August 1882-14 December 1961), second daughter of Henry John Cook, J.P., of The Firs, Woodford Green, who married at Woodford Green Union Church, Essex on 15 May 1908 and in 1921 they were living at 9 Wellesley Road, Colchester. In 1939 Henry and Catherine were still living at 9 Wellesley Road, Colchester when Rowena was an unmarried teacher, living at Gables Shoot, Old Woking Road, Woking, Surrey with several other teachers. Rowena exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 3 Happisburgh House, 9 Priory Road, Felixstowe in 1980, 'Romford Market'. Rowena Olive Rowland died in the Colchester district on 11 March 2005, she was unmarried.
